Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Collect available information on requested project planning task (work packages, work split, boundary conditions, timing, lineup, technical targets, cost, etc.) and top-down assessment of project value from Sales.
- Initial check of feasibility of inquiries, agree on work split scenario with other AVL affiliates or headquarter Graz with Project Manager (PL)
- Set up project planning team, documentation and first planning alignment meeting in cooperation with designated early involved PL and TIPs (Technical Information Provider, e.g. Skill Team Leaders (STL))
- Manage the project planning process and gather input from involved TIPs for individual work packages/tasks and ensure consistency between them.
- Coordinate effective cross location planning cooperation with other affiliates if applicable
- Agree with and act as counterpart to TIPs and PL with respect to effort estimation (HR, facility, external resources, taxes and inflation effects), technical targets, work packages, deliverables and RASI agreement
- Conduct Risk Assessment (RA) for project planning if required according to AVL Sales Process
- Compilation of the operational contribution to the project planning documents (e.g. effort calculation table, wording for targets, tasks, technical boundary conditions and deliverables in the offer document)
- Solve priority / resource issues with POM (Project Operation Manager)
- Get offer release approval from PL
- Set up project structure in ProCalc
- Support project hand over to dedicated PL and accompany project execution to get feedback for improvement of future offers
Qualification:
- Engineering degree and at least 3 years automotive industry relevant experience in development of automotive powertrain (engines and transmissions)
- Good overview on development process and technologies of IC engines, transmissions and vehicles, and relative legislations
- Good sense of planning tasks in a team regarding time management, target definition, task delegation, quality and resource control
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary and multi-departments/teams for projects
- Good intercultural communication skills and self motivation
- Professional competence with MS Word and MS Excel, PPT and Project in documentation
- Very good command of English, especially writing .
